An established multi-award winning documentary film director, producer and archive researcher. Studied chemistry, but the bug of the film industry diverted his career path. He started working as a production assistant/driver, while enrolled part time with Boston Media College. He forged a career in television by becoming a specialist archive researcher, and later branched into producing and directing. He has worked on over 150 documentaries, feature films and curated content for heritage exhibitions/museums: independent production companies; SABC; etv; M-Net; CBS, Channel 4 and BBC- UK; CAPA TV; ARTE, NGOs; Swedish and Indian Broadcaster. Mthethwa has recently collated and researched film archives for the Freedom Park Museum and Womens Living Heritage Monument, Apartheid Museum, Constitutional Hill while also developing several documentaries, feature films, television/docu reality series for his award winning production company, Full Circle Productions, that he established 2010.
