Keeper
In the heart of the Bronx, a single father and his daughter discover healing, connection and purpose within the unconventional world of beekeeping. Flynn, a night-shift worker at the UN who’s ironically severely allergic to bee stings, spends his days tending to his hives, selling honey at the local markets and passing his knowledge to his daughter, Alaura. But when Flynn is diagnosed with cancer, their world shifts, leaving Alaura to shoulder the growing responsibility of the bees, amidst her father’s declining health. Keeper explores the weight of hope as they face the daily realities of illness, deepening their bond through their shared devotion to beekeeping. In an intimate portrait of family, Keeper captures the beauty of resilience, the fragility of time, and the enduring sweetness found in love, labour and letting go.
