CapeTalk’s Morning show host Lester Kiewit began his broadcasting journey in 2004 as Eyewitness News intern. He soon established himself as a respected journalist, diving into the world of television in 2008 as eNCA reporter and later the channel’s Parliamentary Correspondent. In 2018 he was appointed as the Mail and Guardian’s Cape Town bureau chief. At the same time he rejoined Cape Talk as show host and in 2022 announced the voice of the station’s flag-ship morning show. Lester is a passionate storyteller but also a story listener. He’s often walking the streets of Cape Town to learn more about its untold histories and the stories of people who call this city home.
