LOREN LOUBSER is a queer filmmaker and intimacy coordinator. As an actor, Loren can be seen on Showmax starring in various films and tv shows and on Acorn TV in Recipes for Love and Murder and their directorial debut, Removed, was one of the most watched short films at the Durban International Film Festival 2021 resulting in their appointment as a DIFF programmer in 2022. Loren co-directs the Queer Writers Incubator, an annual upskilling program for young queer screenwriters and filmmakers. Most recently, Loren has directed an episode for Yellowbone Entertainment’s Female Filmmaker Slate with the NFVF & SABC and their original TV show concept was selected for the Canada-South Africa co-development fund, a partnership between the CMF and the NFVF.
