Maya Schkolne has been an organiser for South African Jews for a Free Palestine (SAJFP) since 2018, continuing her work from its predecessor, Jewish Voices for a Just Peace. She has recently started her PhD in Psychology, researching how undergraduate students process cognitive dissonance in relation to social difference. She was previously Head of Year Two at African Leadership Academy, a Pan-African high school in Johannesburg for students from across Africa.
