Dr Anell Stacey Daries is a lecturer at the Centre for the Study of the Afterlife of Violence and the Reparative Quest (AVReQ), Stellenbosch University. Her research explores histories of sciences to do with the human body. Extending her interests, she aims to examine how notions of gender, class and race have been shaped by science. Through these inquiries, she seeks to understand how history comes to bear on and through the human body.
