Don Edkins is a South African documentary filmmaker and producer based in Cape Town. He has produced documentary film anthologies that have been broadcast around the world, such as Steps for the Future (2001), Why Democracy? (2007), Why Poverty? (2012), and Generation Africa (2022), earning multiple international awards. He is currently producing Generation Africa 2.0, a documentary film project for African filmmakers from 21 countries on climate change and environmental justice. He is Executive Producer of AfriDocs, a free-to-view VOD platform across Africa that screens the best African documentary films.
