About

Marion Seymour is the Deputy Chairperson of Sisters Working in Film and Television (SWIFT),
an advocacy organization at the forefront of women’s rights in the industry across the value
chain. In her voluntary role with SWIFT, she became involved in many conversations around
the impact of the changes in industry and the specific impact on women. In addition to
SWIFT, she is also a seasoned television producer with over 20 years of experience across
major broadcasters including SABC, eTV, and MultiChoice. She is currently a Producer at
UCT TV Studios where she mentors emerging creatives and contributes to film education. Marion is also working on her debut documentary film as part of her MA degree in Media Theory and Practice.
