Odette Geldenhuys works across law and documentary filmmaking, with a focus on justice, representation, and storytelling. She is currently an active pro bono attorney leading a team handling public interest cases. Alongside her legal work, she has an extensive background in documentary film. Odette co-produced the award-winning The Shore Break, and has directed and produced several acclaimed South African documentaries, including Here be Dragons, Grietjie van Garies, and Being Pavarotti. She previously served as co-chair of the Documentary Filmmakers Association, and currently serves as a trustee of the Khayelitsha Youth and Community Trust and as a non-executive director of ProBono.Org.
