Nikki Comninos is a South African director and editor with 20 years of experience building complex stories into compelling long-form television and documentary. Her work has screened at IDFA, Berlinale, and Locarno, earned a Golden Bear nomination, and features on global streamers including Netflix and Showmax – with recent directing credits including true crime series Tracking Thabo Bester, and historical series Unspoken War. She is a multiple SAFTA winner for editing, she holds the SAGE acronym for distinguished editors and was recognised by the American Cinema Editors in their International Partnership Programme. She holds a Ph.D. focusing on home video, personal history and memory.
